We’re here today with an entirely different kind of a blog post; an interview. As we haven’t done one before we would love to know your views on this and if you’d like to see more interviews coming your way!
For now, here are;
‘Six things you should know about the ambitious Nasim-e- sehar’
1- Tell us about yourself, where did you grow up? What college did you go, and what was that like?
It all starts from my perception of clothing. For everyone, clothing means fashion, following current trends. But for me, clothing was something special; I felt that clothing had this power to make a person change their perception of how the world think about them, it was more like creating a story of your own. This led me to study design in NCA (National College of Arts), and after completion of my 4 years’ degree I did my masters in fashion from the UK, and it is a tradition in my family to study from the UK. Moreover, working with the best names in the fashion industry helped me grow professionally.
2- What would you say most motivates you to do what you do?
My greatest motivation is how fashion is linked to so many other aspects of art; it is a lot more multi-dimensional than people think. I love to multitask; it is like a second nature to me, so I love to be able to work with different art disciplines while being in fashion such as, drawing, using computers to design, painting and much more.
3 – What are you most excited and passionate about?
I would say I am a perfectionist. So I have this certain image of what I want to achieve with what I am creating, and as I look up more about it, the more it changes in my mind. I do not stop until I have achieved what I have pictured in my mind, which is difficult for people to get used to, but I just cannot create something other than what I have envisioned.
4 – What are the goals you most want to accomplish in your work?
I want my work to be perfect regarding every aspect and I want my creations to be flawless.
5 – Did you have any life changing experiences that put you on the path that led you to be doing what you’re doing today? Tell us about them.
I would not say that I had a very definitive experience that changed my perspective and made me more motivated about what I am doing right now, but it was more about the existing passion in me that has always been very strong, ever since I was a child. I was always very find of different colors and how they work together; how textures make things look more defined and better. So all of this thinking process was already instilled in me since the beginning. Everyone faces some problems to get to their end goal; I just prefer to consider those hurdles a pathway that leads me to my end goal.
6 – What are some of your hobbies?
My hobbies are reading, singing drawing; I love to do anything that is innovative and prolific. These are just the kind of activities I enjoy most.
